Gatsby Galore! 1920s Inspired Gowns

Gatsby Glamour is here and styles from the 1920s are back in fashion for Summer 2013.

I was lucky enough to attend an industry only event in New York City last week at the Bridal Reflections showroom. The event showcased a number of designers, but I was most impressed with some of the dresses reminiscent of the 1920s. Hand beading, sexy silhouettes, feathers; the pictures below barely give the dresses justice.

Check out the beading on this beauty. While this dress may have a simple silhouette, the intricate beading shows the supreme craftsmanship of the dressmaker and adds sophisticated flare.

What about the incredible beading on this dress? I love the beautiful, intricate beading and sheer, sophisticated back. The simple, gathered train is lovely.

This next set of images is taken of an incredible dress by designer Victor Harper, who claims Alexander McQueen as the inspiration behind this design. The dress is made of silk Mikado with Italian Trapunto stitching, adding to the uniqueness of this dress.
